A Small Update

I have now attempted to write a new entry four times now and I think I'll keep this one. :) I'm sorry it's been so long since I have updated everything. Life has been wonderful and crazy!

First off, in November I auditioned to be a Young Performing Missionary in Nauvoo. I passed the first audition and was called back to audition on January 3rd. That audition went really well and I'm going to go to Nauvoo as a Young Performing Missionary for the summer!! I'm really really excited to go. I leave May 3rd and I believe the last day of the mission is August 16, but I'm not totally sure on that one. This has been on my list of goals in life since I was 14 years old. I'm very excited it's coming through to fruition. Life is good. :)

Second, I broke both of my feet! Weird huh? 3 years ago I took advanced clogging and Irish dance both in the same semester. My feet hurt incredibly all the time, but I thought I had just bruised them. When I auditioned for Nauvoo, I reinjured them and when I got them X-rayed, the doctor found that I fractured both of my... ahem... medial sesamoid bones on my first metatarsuls. (Caitie had me practice that for two days before I could say it correctly!) I'm walking around campus with boots on my feet and if they start hurting I'm supposed to use crutches. I really don't like crutches so my feet don't hurt very often... if you know what I mean. :) Anyway, they should be better before I go to Nauvoo. In the meantime, I'm trying not to walk very much.

Finally, I think I'm going to add a dance minor to my two majors. There was a class that I had to take this semester in order to graduate in the spring. I just found out it is completely full and the teacher will not add me. Lame, huh? That does open up a semester where I would only take 3 classes. Why not add the entire dance minor in that semester?? I've done some of the minor already in the past, so I'm hoping I can audition and get a little minor attached to my HUGE major. After that, I will graduate. Seriously.

Well, that's about all I have to say right now. I hope all is well!!!

I loved your blog entry! How are we going to buy you the shoes you need for Nauvoo with both of your feet in weird boots? :)
